What is the best time of day to cruise Milford Sound?
The drive from Te Anau to Milford takes 2 hours. THIs alows time for a couple of stops. You should aim for a 10.30 or 11am cruise. I usually advise visitors to do their sightseeing on the way in, as the sun is better, and the good stuff is ahead of you, whereas on the way out you will tend not to see the same things.
